Graduated and initially worked as a Respiratory Therapist in Manila, Philippines. After a year of dedication and hard work she was moved to EEG Unit and appointed as unit in-charge and then pursued her career as an Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist.

In 1998, she moved to the UAE, initially at Dubai American Hospital then Tawam Hospital in Al Ain and Al Noor Hospital in Abu Dhabi. She continued her education by enrolling in a distance learning diploma of Electroencephalographic Technology at the California College of Health Sciences, USA. She obtained her American board license through ABRET as Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist.

Her professional skills include: Electroencephalography (EEG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and Evoked Potentials (EPs). For six years, she was in charge of the Neurophysiology Laboratory in Tawam Hospital, Al Ain. She was also part of establishing the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Sleep disorders Unit. She regularly participates in neurological conferences. Carol is a member of American Society of Neurodiagnostic Technologists and American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
